Foundations Track Information:
The Foundations Track is designed to address the fundamentals of working a Title IX or Sexual Misconduct case from beginning to end, including conducting intake interviews, reviewing and organizing evidence, addressing questions for relevancy, assessing credibility, and issuing findings.
Regardless if your institution adheres to the 2020 or 2024 Title IX Regulations, this track provides the essential knowledge and skills to confidently manage Title IX and Sexual Misconduct cases, whether you’re handling them for the first time or seeking to enhance your existing expertise. The Foundations Track is focused entirely around an evolving case study, which allows participants to apply their knowledge and practice their skills in real time through feedback and collaboration with their fellow attendees and SMI Facilitators. In addition to the materials provided during the Foundation Track sessions, participants will also leave with a Digital Toolbox full of additional resources such as templates, task checklists, and flow charts.

Advanced Track Information:
As the regulatory landscape around Title IX and Sexual Misconduct continues to evolve, it’s more important than ever for all levels of student conduct, Title IX, and campus administrators to understand how their work interacts with each other and with other regulatory compliance areas.
The Advanced Track is designed to address these nuanced intersections by exploring the various points of overlap between student and employee Title IX and Sexual Misconduct cases, along with other areas such as the Clery Act, NCAA, ADA, and the First Amendment. This track will discuss implementation strategies for informal resolution options and the applicability of campus non-discrimination policies under both the 2020 and 2024 Title IX Regulations. Advanced Track participants also receive Digital Toolbox access, filled with additional resources specifically tailored to presented content, and have the opportunity to collaborate with fellow attendees to collect valuable data designed to identify peer institutions and share ideas for how to navigate the complexities associated with Title IX and Sexual Misconduct policy compliance.
While this track is designed from the student conduct and Title IX administrator perspective, we welcome all campus administrators who might intersect with any of these regulatory areas to the deep-dive and interactive learning experience provided in the Advanced Track.
